VADA /MINAPA GARELLU

    Vada/Minapa Garellu is a traditional recipe of Andhra. We can make this vada for breakfast, snacks, and for festivals and picnic's any occasions.
    This can be prepared using some easily available ingredients in your kitchen. This can be prepared very easily.
    The perfect blend of south Indian flavours can be found in this dish when it is served with coconut, groundnut, tomato chutney, sambhar or chicken cuury. so try this yummy dish with your loved ones.
    
Ingredients
  • 2 cups soaked overnight urad dal
  • Curry leaves
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies 2 finely chopped
  • Onion medium sized finely choped
  • Ginger grated 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Banana leaf
  • Cooking soda(optional)
 Steps to prepare

1.Grind the soaked urad dal with very little water to make a thick batter.
2.Add cumin seeds,green chilies,onion,soda,ginger
salt,coriander leaves,curry leaves into batter and mix well.
3.Take a banana leaf wash it or you can use plastic cover and place a small ball of batter, pierce a hole in the middle of each of them.
4.Heat oil in a pan and a little pinch of batter if it comes up then the oil is ready for deep frying vada's.

5.Now deep fry the vada's in a medium flame till they turn golden brown. remove the excess oil.
6.Serve the hot vada's with your favorite chutney.

A Beautiful Painting of GATE

    Today we are going to draw a beautiful gate using oil pastels. A Gate which is surrounded by creepers and plants with flower's. A Gate which is an entrance to a garden.
    Let's draw the gate.
   
Things needed
  • Drawing sheet 
  • Pencil
  • Scale
  • Tissue paper
  • Oil pastels
  • Black glass marking pencil
  • Whitener
Steps to Draw
1.Draw the boarders of a drawing sheet.
2.Draw the outline of the gate with scale and pencil.
3.Draw the background with lemon yellow,light green,dark green and black colors.
4.Blend the colors with tissue paper.
5.Fill the gate with dark brown color.
6.Draw the shadow of the gate with leaf green color.
7.Draw the grass with black glass marking pencil, also draw the leaves with more pressure using sap green color, stems with black color.
8.Draw the flowers with whitener and blue, pink pastels.

LEMON RICE RECIPE

    Today we are going to prepare lemon rice my favorite. This is a rice based dish widely prepared in south India. It is also called chitranna.
    It is prepared by mixing cooked rice with a special seasoning.Its flavorful sour rice recipe, because of lemon.This dish can be easily made in minute's if we already have freshly cooked rice or leftover rice.
    In temple's it is offered to GOD and served as prasadam. We can make this recipe for festivals and also for special occasions.
 INGREDIENTS
  • Cooked rice
  • Lemons 2 
  • Groundnuts 3 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Pinch of hing(asafoetida)
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Green chilies 4 
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red chilies 2 
  • Chana dal 1 tbs
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
Procedure
1.Heat oil in a pan.Add peanuts fry them and keep aside.
2.Add chana dal,urad dal,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,red chilies, green chilies, let them splutter.
3.Add curry leaves, turmeric powder,hing and peanuts, give it a stir.
4.Take cooked rice add salt and mix it properly.
5.Remove the seeds of lemon and squeeze it in rice.mix them and taste it, add salt if any needed.

6.Our lemon rice is ready to be served.serving 2 persons.
